The Easter Epic
From the outset, the 2016 Easter Epic was a daunting prospect.
Not only would it be the longest sportive of my year so far at 133km, but also one of the hilliest. Adding to this, in the run up to Easter Sunday when the event ran it became apparent that I’d be without my usual group of friends, the weather forecast was poor and the clocks changed the night before (not in favour of more sleep)! Still, if anything it would earn the justification for an extra chocolate egg.
