DESCRIPTION:Back for a second year\, The Mortimer Madness Trail Half Marathon and 10k \nThe event takes place from Mortimer Forest’s Vinnalls Car Park\, Pipe Aston\, near Ludlow\, SY8 2HF. \nEarly bird price £18\, until 31st Jan. Then £23 until closing date. (10k £18) \nParking at Monstay Farm\, directly opposite the Forestry Commission car park.SY8 2HF \nThis hilly run takes in Mortimer Forest’s best features. It’s beautiful yet challenging terrain provides us with a route through woodland landscapes\, with amazing views from the highest points. \nThanks to The Foresty Commission team at the location\, we have created a challenge you will remember\, and conditions in summer should ensure firm tracks \nFeaturing: \n\nSpecial finishers medals for all\nRace timing\nCategory prizes\nMedical support & tail runner\nPublic Address and Commentary “shout-outs”\nFully signed and marshalled routes\nWater stations\nInsurance cover\n\nThis run is for over 17s only. \nYou will need to finish within 4 hrs\, after which time the finish line will be removed and timing ends. (Times ranged from 2hrs 5mins to 3hrs 20mins at last February’s edition). \nA catering van will be onsite selling hot and cold food and drinks. \n  \nCategory prizes on offer\, including real ale courtesy of sponsor’s Teme Valley Brewery\n\nFinish goodies and medal for all competitors.\n\nThe event supports Midlands Air Ambulance\, with £2 from all entry fees will be donated direct to charity. Participants may make additional voluntary contributions as desired on the on-line entry page\n\nRACE STARTS 10:00 \nREGISTRATION CLOSES 09:45 \n  \nLIMITED PLACES – 200 RUNNERS LIMIT \n  \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION – There will be a small parking charge at Monstay Farm for use of their field.
